The Saudi online visa for citizens of Finland and over 45 other nationalities was introduced in September 2019, allowing travelers to obtain a Saudi tourist visa valid for 1 year from its date of issue and permitting a stay of up to 90 days.
The simple online application can be completed in around 10 minutes, after which applicants can receive an approved eVisa for Saudi Arabia via email in under 5 business days.
Finnish citizens are required to complete the eVisa online application process in advance of their planned journey to Saudi Arabia and as soon as their specific journey dates are known. This greatly simplifies the process of gaining permission to enter the country as the application can be done online from the comfort of the tourist’s home or just about anywhere in the world.
Apply for a Saudi Arabian Visa from Finland
The Saudi Arabia Online Application is the quickest and easiest way for Finns to travel to Saudi Arabia as tourists. The online process only takes a few minutes and can be done from anywhere and at the applicant’s convenience.
It is important that Finnish citizens complete the application form with accurate and up-to-date information. To avoid delays or even rejection of the application, the Ministry advises citizens of Finland to include all of the following information on their application form:
- Passport details – Nationality, passport number, expiration date
- Personal information – Full name, date of birth, residential address
- Travel itinerary – Planned entry and exit dates, flight details
Please be advised that you also have to answer a few short security questions on your application.
Online payment made via credit or debit card is required to submit and finalize the application. Following confirmation of the fee payment, the successful candidate will be emailed their eVisa to travel to Saudi Arabia within 72 hours of submitting their completed online application. They will then be ready to make the journey to the country.
Upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, Finland citizens need to present both their eVisa and passport for entry. Therefore it is essential that the passport details entered on the Saudi Arabia Online Application match those of the document you intend to travel with, otherwise, the eVisa will not be valid on arrival.
If a Finnish citizen wishes to return to Saudi Arabia after their departure it will be necessary to submit and obtain an eVisa via the online application form.
Saudi Arabia Visa Requirements from Finland
Please ensure all documentation meets the following visa requirements for Finnish citizens traveling to Saudi Arabia:
- The traveler’s passport must have at least 6 months validity from the date of entry to Saudi Arabia
- It is necessary to provide a current email address to receive the approved eVisa from Finland
- The applicant must provide 1 passport-size photo, dimensions: 200 x 200 pixels or 2.08 x 2.08 inches
- The Saudi eVisa fee must be paid with a valid credit or debit card
Applicants with dual nationality should ensure that the passport they use to complete the Saudi visa application from Finland is the same that they will later use to travel to Saudi Arabia.
Visa Requirements for Finnish Pilgrims to the Hajj and Umrah
Saudi Arabia is a truly unique country and has a society and culture with many distinctive traditions. As the birthplace of Islam, it is deeply enriched by tradition, customs, and values that citizens of Finland may not be accustomed to or be familiar with.
Nationals of Finland are encouraged to respect and appreciate local customs whilst journeying through Saudi Arabia.
A citizen of Finland undertaking pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia for the religious ceremonies of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia needs to apply through a separate process to the electronic visa for tourism.
The Hajj and Umrah visa for Saudi is available only through a specialized agency, company or entity such as the Saudi Arabian embassy in Helsinki. When applying, it is necessary to provide a range of supporting information, including a certificate from a mosque or Islamic center stating that the applicant is a Muslim if they do not have a Muslim name.
An approved Hajj or Umrah visa from Finland is valid for a total of 30 days from the date of approval and allows a maximum stay of 2 weeks in Saudi Arabia for purposes of religious pilgrimage.
It is not possible to travel to Saudi Arabia for the purposes of tourism or to work on this type of visa.
