The authors, Japanese and Korean university teachers, have developed E-learning environments for their students of English at Japanese and Korean universities, respectively. For this study, the authors used an interactive web with a bulletin board system: BBS, which was constructed at Nagasaki Junshin Catholic University for facilitating students with opportunities to create messages in English. Japanese students made movie reports and interacted for 2 months with Korean students, who were also learners of English as a foreign language. This paper reports the background and procedures of this project and presents the 3 results of quantitative and qualitative analyses of their communication data
